Kilauea Iki Crater rim at Volcanos National Park in Hawaii. You can actually walk across the crater. Lava arch at Volcanos National Park There used to be a road here until the Banana Lava Flow had better plans! I wonder if the state of Hawaii will be able to collect the parking tickets for the cars that were parked here... Real lava! I'm standing less than 2 meters from 2000-degree molten rock. Seeing new earth being created is a magical experience. Just think, this new earth will be here for billions of years.
